With a wealth of experience in North America, and particularly in New York, Olivier Gillotin remains driven by a passion for creation. Going for a walk, or waking up in the middle of the night, and grabbing an idea for a formula that springs up. For him, inspiration is everywhere. It can arise from the discovery of a flower, a book, a painting by Miro, the memory of a Swiss liqueur, an ice cream tasted in Rome, or even daily life on his Appalachian farm, and where each season brings a multitude of smells. In his creations, he cultivates a style that is both bold and comfortable. He likes to work with the shortest possible formulas, "translating a strong idea, and structured from their base notes." His current interest? Interpreting all the facets of the mimosa that surround him in winter in the garden of his house on the island of Oléron.
